Ian McKenna is a director of the Financial Technology Research Centre.  He has spent over 20 years working in the financial services industry, twelve of which as a director of an IFA firm.  In 1995 he set up FTRC, a specialist consultancy which focuses on the key issues around the distribution of packaged financial products in the UK. 

Clients include major financial institutions, technology companies and management consultancies. 

He also chairs the Adviser Forum, which brings together many of the UK’s largest financial advice firms (current members represent approximately 65% of UK IFA distribution) on a regular basis to focus on issues of mutual concern/interest and how to improve the overall efficiency of the market. 

For many years he has been a regular contributor to the industry trade press and has written for many National newspapers.
