e-Excellence Research Overview We conduct detailed research and analysis on the functionality and services provided by insurers via their e-commerce propositions in different product areas. The information is initially captured via Excel spreadsheets by insurers selecting preformatted responses to questions. Free text areas are avoided wherever possible as these inhibit the ability to score responses. The responses are then analysed in various ways to produce ratings and reports. A scoring matrix is applied to all responses in order to identify the extent to which insurers have met the requirements agreed with advisers. From the percentage scores achieved by insurers we allocate ratings. Two types of report are generated from the data captured: Given the confidential nature of the information contained within the reports, it is our normal practice to produce these documents using the FileOpen document security system. The FileOpen encryption system operates from a simple plug in which we will send you, together with details of how to install this on your local computer. Using this system we can provide access permissions to as many people in your organisation as you wish. There is no limit on the number of people who can have such access, but we do need to have their email addresses to enable access rights to activated.
